French and foreign artists can send their application to the Cité internationale des arts who organizes peer sessions dedicated to different fields: visual arts, music, writing and performing arts. Composed of independent curators, heads of art schools, music schools and art centres, and representatives of the City of Paris, the Ministry of Culture and Communication and of the Institutfrançais, commissions provide residence studios according to the artistic dimension of the project and the motivations of the applicant.
The duration of the residencies is decided according to the project of the artist. Please note that selected artists have to fund their residence: for 2017, monthly services charges range from 545 to 650 euros.
The open call for the peer-sessions of Spring 2017 is now closed. The next Writing and Performing Arts peer-sessions will be held in the Fall 2017, as well as a second series of peer-sessions for Visual Arts.
